Cambridge Live

Cambridge Live is a not-for-profit charity that runs the Cambridge Corn Exchange, Cambridge Folk Festival and also delivers a range of outdoor events on behalf of the Council, including its annual Big Weekend and Fireworks & Bonfire Night.

They facilitate and manage a programme of over 400 performances a year ranging from music and sports to comedy and festivals - all with one aim; to 'advance art for public benefit'.

Cambridge Live delivers an annual programme of events reaching tens of thousands of people, including:


Cambridge Corn Exchange 

The Cambridge Corn Exchange runs over 220 events per year including comedy, dance, rock, pop and classical music performances.

Over the years the Corn Exchange has hosted household names in music, comedy and dance including David Bowie, Oasis and Eddie Izzard.


Cambridge Folk Festival and City Roots

Cambridge Folk Festival is one of the longest running and most famous folk festivals in the world attracting a maximum capacity of 10,000.

City Roots is a festival presented by Cambridge Folk Festival, strengthening the link between folk and roots music and the City of Cambridge.


E-luminate Festival 

e-Luminate Festival is a celebration of the infinite possibilities created by light through  a series of installations, activities, talks and concerts; on, near and in Cambridge’s iconic buildings and public spaces.


Big Weekend

The Big Weekend offers a range of activities and performances across the weekend right in the heart of the city on Parker's Piece, including: fireworks, music, sports and family fun.


Fireworks & Bonfire Night

Each year on Bonfire Night, Cambridge City Council, local business and public donations make a FREE fireworks display possible on Midsummer Common.


Midsummer Fair

Midsummer Fair has been running since 1212 hosting a traditional market, funfair and lots of family fun!


Jazz & Brass in the Parks 

On selected days from June to September there will be jazz and brass bands playing in Cambridge's parks and open spaces for you to enjoy.


 In additon, they programme the use of the Guildhalls which currently host over 150 diverse events and operate Cambridge Live Tickets, a ticketing agency for clients across the UK.
