With so many different acts visiting the city, Cambridge offers a number of different music venues to host crowds of all sizes, offering an eclectic mix of musical acts to suit all tastes.
Cambridge Corn Exchange
The Cambridge Corn Exchange is the largest multi-purpose entertainment venue in the region. Run by Cambridge City Council, it presents up to 300 performances per year ranging from the hottest names from the rock and pop world as well as musicals, comedy, opera, ballet orchestral concerts and an annual Christmas show.
Cambridge Junction
Presenting 100’s of performances each year to over 100,000 customers, Cambridge Junction covers theatre, comedy, dance, live music, clubs and events for young people.
West Road Concert Hall
Ideally situated only minutes' walk from the famous Cambridge Backs and King's College, it is renowned for its superb acoustic qualities. Recognising the importance of music as an academic study, the University established the Faculty of Music in 1947 to teach the newly created Music Tripos.
Mumford Theatre
Mumford Theatre is a university theatre presenting a range of touring professional, local community and student theatre, as well as an extensive range of music events. The free Lunchtime Concert Series from Anglia Ruskin University's Department of Music and Performing Arts also takes place at the Mumford Theatre during term time.
La Raza
La Raza is home to some of the best live music in Cambridge – offering local bands to the chance to showcase their unique talents to the public – house bands Bijoumiyo and Booga’s Electric Sauce are two of the hottest bands in the city and really know how to rock a crowd.
Saffron Hall
Saffron Hall welcomes world-class artists and ensembles including London Philharmonic Orchestra, Nicola Benedetti, Oslo Philharmonic Orchestra, The Sixteen, Alison Balsom, Britten Sinfonia, Bach Collegium Japan, Maxim Vengerov, The English Concert, James Farm, Academy of St Martins in the Field, plus special events for families, and performances from the region’s leading amateur groups.
Stapleford Granary
Stapleford Granary is the new home for the ACE Foundation, an educational charity founded in 1958 with the object of encouraging and developing cultural understanding. We provide support for educational projects, courses and summer schools, both locally and internationally and have played a pioneering role in adult and continuing education.
